As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an Electrical Draftsperson to join their engineering team and play an significant role in the delivery of client projects.
This is a role for someone who enjoys the detail of electrical drafting, likes working alongside engineers and wants to see their work progress from drawings and concepts through to completed projects.
About the Role
Working closely with Senior and Lead Electrical Engineers, you'll be responsible for producing and maintaining high quality electrical drawings and documentation.
Your day to day will include:
● Preparing single line diagrams, schematics, termination diagrams and panel layouts
● Developing general arrangements and other electrical drawings
● Working from engineering sketches, specifications and marked up drawings
● Completing drawing revisions and maintaining drawing registers
● Developing and maintaining CAD blocks, templates and libraries
● Working with engineers and project managers to resolve drafting issues
● Supporting the delivery of multiple projects and contributing to improved drafting processes
About You
We're looking for someone who has at least two years' experience in electrical drafting and is comfortable working in an engineering environment.
You'll ideally have:
● A Diploma or Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting, or equivalent experience
● Experience producing electrical engineering drawings and documentation
● An understanding of LV systems, switchboards, cable routing, earthing and instrumentation
● Familiarity with Australian electrical standards and practices
● Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work
● The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work to project timeframes
Experience within industrial, utilities, infrastructure, water, energy or mining will be highly regarded.
