Shadbolt Group is seeking an experienced fully licensed A Grade Electrician to join our Defence &

- Maritime team based in Osborne, South Australia.

Fully licensed A Grade Electricians only. Applicants must hold a current South Australian A Grade Electrical Licence.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex defence, industrial and infrastructure projects, delivering high-quality electrical installation, testing, commissioning and fault-finding activities within a safety-focused environment.

Reporting to the Defence &

- Maritime Engineering Manager, you will play an important role in supporting project delivery by ensuring electrical works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with Australian Standards, project specifications and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Install electrical equipment, switchboards, cable containment systems, cable trays, conduits and wiring systems.
- Install power, lighting, control and communications infrastructure.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics and construction documentation.
- Complete electrical fit-off, terminations, testing and commissioning activities.
- Undertake fault finding and rectification of electrical issues.
- Complete inspection and test records and maintain quality documentation.
- Support project milestones, shutdowns and commissioning activities.
- Participate in toolbox meetings, pre-starts and safety activities.
- Work collaboratively with project, engineering and multidisciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes.

About You

- Current South Australian A Grade Electrical Licence - essential.
- Fully licensed A Grade Electrician - essential.




- Minimum 3 years’ post-trade experience in industrial, infrastructure, defence or heavy construction environments.
- Solid knowledge of Australian electrical standards and legislation.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality and delivering excellent workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills &

- Experience

- Defence and/or maritime industry experience.
- Australian Citizen - Essential.
- Instrumentation experience or an instrumentation skillset - Desirable.
- Previous experience leading or supervising electrical trades on projects.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or higher).
- Working at Heights, EWP or High-Risk Work Licence.
- Current CPR/LVR certification.

Supervisory Experience A supervisory preference will be given to candidates with previous experience supervising electrical trades, coordinating electrical works or taking a leading role on industrial, defence, maritime or major infrastructure projects. This is not a requirement for the role, however, candidates with demonstrated electrical supervisory capability are encouraged to apply.
