Role DescriptionThe Entry-Level Quality Assurance Engineer will support software quality throughout the development lifecycle by designing, executing, and documenting testing activities.
Responsibilities include reviewing requirements, developing test cases, performing functional and regression testing, identifying and documenting defects, and verifying fixes. The role will work closely with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to improve product reliability and user experience. The successful candidate will apply structured testing methodologies, investigate unexpected results, maintain clear test documentation, and contribute to continuous improvements in quality assurance processes.
Familiarity with automated testing concepts and a willingness to learn modern QA tools and practices are highly valued.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Understanding of software development and software testing life cycles.
- Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing concepts.
- Ability to create clear, structured, and comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
- Basic understanding of defect tracking, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, TestRail, Postman, Selenium, or similar QA platforms is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts is a plus.
- Exposure to programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar is beneficial.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong commitment to quality, reliability, and continuous learning.
