The Role

Tungsten Mining is seeking a highly experienced Environmental & Approvals Manager to lead environmental planning, permitting, approvals, compliance, and stakeholder engagement across our project portfolio.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for securing and maintaining environmental approvals, managing regulatory obligations, and providing strategic environmental guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from exploration and development through to operations, closure, and rehabilitation.

Working closely with internal project teams, regulators, Traditional Owners, consultants, and community stakeholders, you will play a critical role in enabling project delivery while supporting our commitment to responsible and sustainable resource development. Additional responsibilities include the following.

- Lead environmental approvals and permitting strategies across multiple projects.
- Manage environmental impact assessments, approval applications, and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, licence conditions, and statutory obligations.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with government agencies, regulators, Traditional Owners, landholders, and community stakeholders.
- Identify and manage environmental risks, opportunities, and approval pathways that influence project outcomes.




- Integrate environmental approval requirements into project planning and delivery schedules.
- Provide environmental due diligence support for project development and growth opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop environmental personnel and external consultants.
- Drive continuous improvement in environmental management systems, governance, and reporting processes.

About You

You are a respected environmental skilled with a strong track record of delivering environmental approvals within the mining, resources, infrastructure, or construction sectors and successfully leading teams and projects.

- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Engineering, Natural Resource Management, or a related discipline.
- More than 10 years' experience in environmental approvals, planning, or regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing environmental approvals functions and teams.
- Proven success obtaining State and Federal environmental approvals for major projects.
- Strong knowledge of Western Australian environmental and mining legislation, approvals frameworks, and regulatory processes.
- Experience engaging with regulators including DMIRS, EPA, and DWER.
- Exposure to native title, heritage, and land access processes.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
