- Full Time, 35 hours per week
- Temporary, 12-month opportunity with possible extension, backfilling parental leave.
- Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW SCS office locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour
- Departmental Officer Grade 5/6 – Salary from $102,936 up to $113,579 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading
About the Role As the Business Performance Supervisor of Accounts Payable, you will play a key role in supporting the effective delivery of business operations and projects. You’ll lead a small team and oversee accounts payable, administrative and business support activities, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, accurately and to agreed standards.
Working closely with the Manager Financial & Business Performance, Project Managers, the Business Performance Coordinator and stakeholders across SCS, you’ll provide practical advice, identify and resolve issues, and ensure financial and administrative processes are well managed.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll have the opportunity to lead people, improve processes and contribute to better business outcomes. You’ll bring a strong eye for detail, support quality assurance & record management compliance and ensure day-to-day activities are well coordinated, while keeping sight of the bigger picture and broader organisational priorities.

About You
You will be a current minimum Grade 5/6 Department Officer, Grade 5/6 Clerk or equivalent, or be on a Talent Pool for an equivalent role.
You’re an experienced and collaborative professional who can confidently balance people leadership, financial management, business support and operational priorities.
You’ll be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders and have the confidence to provide clear advice and challenge processes where there are opportunities to improve.
You’ll also have
- Experience leading or supervising a team and delivering operational outcomes.
- Experience with construction project management software e.g. InEight, OranaSoft, Procore, Aconex
- Strong financial and administrative experience, ideally in a project or commercially focused environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with solid attention to detail.
- Experience working with procurement & accounts payable processes.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a quick-paced environment.
