About the role

We are a busy fish & chip takeaway shop looking for an energetic, experienced all rounder fry cook & grill hand to join our team. This is a fast paced environment where you will manage either the fryers or the flat top grill during peak periods.

Key responsibilities

- Operating commercial deep fryer to cook fish & chips & seafood to perfection

- Using the flat top grill to cook burgers, steaks & other hot menu items quickly & accurately

- Monitoring cooking times, temperatures & food preparation standards

- Packaging orders accurately & maintaining a clean, safe & hygienic workspace, including cleaning down the grill & fryer or setting up the stations

About you

- Proven experience operating commercial deep fryers & flat top grills in a busy takeaway or rapid food environment (essential)





- Confidence handling hot plates, fryer & fresh ingredients under pressure (essential)

- Availability to work weekends including busy Friday, Saturday & Sunday as required (essential)

- Ability to multi task between cooking, packing & serving customers (essential)

- Experience in POS system ordering (essential)

- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic and team player

- Experience in Customer service with experience in making coffee (Barista skills) (preferred)
