As a Field Service Maintenance Engineer at Sensys Gatso Australia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our traffic management solutions across Tasmania. This full-time position is based in Cambridge, TAS 7170, and involves providing responsive, high-quality maintenance services to our Mobile Roadside Operators and our Tasmanian Client.
What you'll be doing
- Performing preventative and reactive maintenance on traffic management equipment, including mobile speed camera equipment, Automatic Number Plate Recognition and Seatbelt/mobile camera detection technologies.
- Conducting regular inspections and diagnostics of vehicles, trailers, trailer pneumatic masts as well as repairs of traffic management equipment to identify and address any issues promptly
- Collaborating with the wider Tasmanian office and the SGA support team to diagnose and resolve technical issues with our systems
- Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and providing progress updates to the team. You will have strong computer literacy skills and be familiar with G-suite applications, JIRA and asset tracking software systems.
- Responding to emergency callouts and resolving issues in a timely manner to minimise disruption and support service delivery. The ability to travel statewide from time to time is required.
- Liaising with mobile roadside operators and other stakeholders to understand their needs and explain technical issues and solutions.
What we're looking for
- Relevant technical qualifications in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum Certificate III/IV level qualification required
- Extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of traffic management equipment or similar industrial systems.
- 3-5 years of traffic management equipment maintenance experience would be highly regarded.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with Mobile Roadside Operators and other stakeholders.
- A valid driver's licence, working at heights experience and the willingness to travel intra-state to various sites as required
- A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
- Australian work authorisation is required for this position
