Business profile: The business has ~65 own retail stores in Australia & New Zealand, ~850 staff with its HQ in Pyrmont CBD & DCs in Sydney & Auckland. It has a small busy Finance team that is a combination of on-site, remote & outsourced resources.

Business requirement: The business has grown very quick in recent years across multiple entities and has recently undergone a corporate simplification project. it is now looking to centralise its financial operations.

Role Description The Finance Manager Retail + Netsuite role at W cosmetics is a contract role for 3-6 months with Hybrid working based between its Pyrmont HQ & Strathfield South DC. This is an interim role to increase resourcing for the implementation of Netsuite. The role is responsible for overseeing the Finance team's delivery for the Netsuite project under the group Head of Finance.

Role responsibilities:

- Reviewing the proposed NetSuite configuration against our accounting, reporting and control requirements.




- Preparing and validating master data and opening balances for migration.
- Reconciling Xero, Unleashed and relevant Lightspeed data to the information being migrated into NetSuite.
- Coordinating Finance UAT, documenting issues and ensuring they are resolved before go-live.
- Developing/improving the month-end processes and reconciliations required in NetSuite.
- Preparing Finance procedures, controls and training materials.
- Training and supporting the Finance team on Netsuite before and after cutover.
- Preparing the October close and cutover reconciliations so that we have a clean opening position in NetSuite.
- Supporting post-go-live reconciliation and stabilisation so that errors do not flow into management reporting, bank reporting, statutory reporting, suppliers, inventory or the GL.
- Taking sufficient senior-level BAU work away to free up the Head of Finance to focus.

Essential skills & experience:

- University qualified with CPA or CA qualifications
- 10+ years experience with significant exposure to retail operations in a product based business
- Extensive knowledge of Netsuite & prior experience in an implementation of Netsuite
