- Recent 482 Visa Sponsorship: Available for qualified candidates meeting the commercial experience and technical requirements.
- Temporary & Working Visa Holders: Open to all working visa holders seeking a direct pathway to employer sponsorship.

Core Responsibilities
- Cloud Spend Analysis & Visibility: Architect centralized dashboards, cost-allocation frameworks, and unit-economics tracking across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Infrastructure Optimization: Identify waste, idle capacity,

and architectural inefficiencies; implement automated rightsizing and modern storage lifecycle policies.
- Commitment Strategy: Model and manage Savings Plans, Reserved Instances (RIs), and committed use discounts to maximize financial coverage and flexibility.
- Kubernetes Cost Allocation: Configure container cost attribution and resource allocation frameworks (e.g., Kubecost) for multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters.
- Automation & Guardrails: Develop automated policies, tagging enforcement rules, and budget alerting using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Python/Bash scripts.
- Stakeholder Enablement: Collaborate directly with engineering leads and executive leadership to foster a culture of financial accountability and unit-metric tracking.

Selection Criteria
- FinOps & Cloud Mastery: Proven commercial experience in cloud financial management, cost engineering, or cloud infrastructure optimization.
- Technical Cloud Depth: Solid architectural knowledge of AWS and/or Azure native billing tools (AWS Cost Explorer, CUR, Azure Cost Management).
- Tagging & Resource Governance: Deep understanding of enterprise tagging strategies, resource hierarchies, and cost-center allocation.
- Automation & Analytics: Practical experience using Python or SQL for data analysis and Terraform for infrastructure guardrails.
- Location Requirements: Currently residing in Australia with valid work rights or eligibility for 482 visa sponsorship/transfer.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Certified FinOps Practitioner (FOCP) or FinOps Certified Professional.
- Hands-on experience with third-party FinOps platforms (Cloudability, CloudHealth, Vantage).
- Cloud Architecture certifications (AWS Solutions Architect / Azure Solutions Architect).
