We are seeking a motivated and reliable Food Services Assistant to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality food services within a healthcare setting.
In this role, you will contribute to the preparation, plating, and safe delivery of meals to patients, ensuring dietary requirements are met and food safety standards are maintained. You will play an important part in supporting patient wellbeing through the provision of nutritious, secure, and timely meals.
This is a hands-on role suited to individuals who enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, plating and meal assembly
- Deliver meals to patients in accordance with dietary requirements and service standards
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and infection control
- Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas
- Support stock rotation, storage and basic food handling processes
- Work collaboratively with the food services and clinical teams
- Provide a courteous and respectful service to patients and staff
Skills and Experience
- Experience in food services, hospitality or healthcare settings (desirable)
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work effectively in a team workplace
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
- Food Safety/Hygiene certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience working in a hospital or aged care workplace
About Your Team You will be part of a supportive Food Services team responsible for delivering meals across the facility. The team works closely with dietitians, nursing staff, and other support services to ensure patients receive safe, appropriate, and high-quality nutrition.
