We’re looking for a talented midweight designer to join Willow on a freelance / contract basis and support us through our busiest campaign period of the year.

This is a hands on execution role for someone who can take a strong creative direction and translate into polished, engaging deliverables.

You’ll be working closely with our Creative Lead and wider marketing team across major peak campaigns including Black Friday, Christmas and Boxing Day, with work appearing across Australia, the UK and the US.

Our smart Sensor, Hub and app combine tech, lifestyle and horticulture to take the guesswork out of looking after plants. Since launching in late 2023, we've shipped internationally, grown a global app community and launched into Bunnings nationally.

Now we're scaling fast into major retail globally, growing our product range and entering an exciting stage of the business.

The role

We’re entering a key trading period for Willow, spanning Black Friday, Christmas gifting and Boxing Day.

You’ll help us turn creative concepts into a large and varied suite of creative assets across digital advertising, organic social, website, email and retail environments.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys doing the work: taking an idea, understanding the end goal and executing brilliantly across multiple channels, platforms and formats.

You’ll work closely with the Creative Lead and wider marketing team to ensure campaigns are visually consistent, on-brand and built to drive performance.

What you'll be doing

- Bringing campaign concepts and creative systems to life across digital, social, digital, paid media, email, the website and retail




- Building campaign variations across different products, offers, audiences and markets
- Developing creative assets including static ads, carousels, social content, website assets email content and basic video/animation
- Adapting master campaign creative across a high volume of formats and placements whilst maintaining solid visual consistency and quality
- Bring ideas and creative judgement to briefs, collaborating with the marketing team to deliver effectively at pace
- Use AI and emerging creative tools to improve speed, efficiency and output - without replacing design thinking and creative judgement
- Stay across current design, social and advertising trends

Who you are

- 3+ years’ experience in graphic design, ideally within a marketing, retail, lifestyle or e-commerce environment
- Strong portfolio of work across digital and social environments, with an understanding of what drives engagement and response in performance marketing
- Confident taking an established concept or visual direction and developing across environments
- Confident working across Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Canva
- Strong eye for typography, composition, imagery and brand consistency
- Organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working to deadlines, with ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work at pace
- Relevant qualification in Graphic Design
