About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Governance and Policy Officer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to provide support to the Governance and Policy Lead in the oversight and administration of policy suite as well as support to Boards and Committees at the College

Your day to day will consist of:

- Support the Governance and Policy Lead and Head of Legal, Risk & Compliance and Company Secretary to prepare for board and committee meetings, including organising and publishing meeting packs.
- Provide secretariat duties to boards and committees including coordination of meetings, agendas, minute taking, coordination of reports, briefing presentations, action lists and other documentation.
- Provide guidance and oversight for the College Policy Suite, to ensure effective planning, development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the College’s Policy Suite.
- Providing administrative support to the Governance and Policy Lead and the broader Legal, Risk and Compliance team as required, including managing shared inboxes, allocating matters to other team members, and any other matters management related work.
- Provide governance and policy advice to relevant stakeholders
- Maintain accessible record keeping, filing and archive systems
- Collaborate with academic and professional teams to achieve organisational objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- A relevant qualification with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent level of
- knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience and understanding of working with Boards and Committees.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and update policies and procedures.
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a governance and policy role
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
