Heli Crew (Ground Crew)
The position of "ground crew" is a core function of the daily operations and customer service for Nautilus Aviation's Cairns base.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of Customer Service delivery to all clients (including on time departures).
- Conduct passenger transfers using company vehicles as required.
- Check-in and departure areas presentation maintained (cleanliness and briefing equipment etc).
- Conduct safety briefings prior to departures and safely manage the loading/unloading of company aircraft and completion of required paperwork.
- Maintain positive, professional and co-operative working relationships with other departments, staff,
management team, strategic partners, agents, clients and members of the public as per the company SOPs.
- General aircraft and facilities cleanliness.
- General hangar duties.
- Physically fit and able to lift 20L fuel drums in and out of vehicles etc.
- Helicopter refuelling.
- Loading and unloading passengers for flights to/from the Cairns base.
Essential Qualities
- Strong customer focus and attention to customer needs and requirements.
- Previous experience in customer service roles.
- Excellent communication and administration skills with a clear focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Team player and commitment to teamwork.
- Self-motivated with a drive to make things happen.
- Bright and happy nature and physically fit to excel in this active role, lifting is regularly required.
- Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a quick-paced workplace and be able to adapt to different tasks within the role.
- Positive safety attitude.
Requirements
- Must be legally eligible to work in Australia and able to work weekends and public holidays.
- Must hold current Australian driver licence (Manual) or willing to obtain.
- The ability to hold an Aviation Security Card (ASIC) which involves a police security check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
