Insights Lead

Are you passionate about turning complex data into meaningful business outcomes? We're looking for an experienced Insights Lead to join our Consumer Insurance business and play a key role in driving performance optimisation, customer outcomes, and strategic decision-making.
Working within the Customer and Distribution Performance & Insights team, you'll partner closely with Customer Service, Distribution, Claims, Finance, and other key stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that influence business performance and customer experience.
The Opportunity
As the Insights Lead, you will transform complex operational and customer data into compelling insights that drive measurable business outcomes. You'll lead performance analysis, develop impactful reporting and dashboards, facilitate performance discussions, and identify opportunities to improve productivity, customer experience, quality, and financial performance.
This role is ideal for someone who combines robust analytical capability with commercial acumen and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
More specifically, you will:
Performance Analysis & Insights
- Analyse customer behaviour, market trends, and business performance to identify opportunities and risks.
- Translate complex data into commercial insights, recommendations, and business cases.
- Provide analysis of productivity and performance drivers across Customer Service operations.
- Conduct deep-dive investigations into business challenges and emerging trends.
- Assess and quantify the impact of business initiatives and solution implementations.
- Support decision-making through high-quality commentary, reporting, and performance insights.
Data Visualisation & Reporting
- Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Deliver meaningful visualisations that enable leaders to make informed decisions.
- Respond to business requests relating to reporting, data capabilities, dashboards, alerts, and analytics projects.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with teams across Customer Service, Claims, Digital, Portfolio, Finance, and People Experience.
- Collaborate with business leaders to establish consistent performance practices, tools, and insights.
- Represent the Performance & Analytics team in meetings, projects, and forums.
- Lead performance discussions and influence stakeholders through data-driven storytelling.
Coaching & Capability Building
- Build strong relationships across the business.
- Mentor and support colleagues to strengthen analytical capability and insight generation.
- Foster collaboration across business and technical teams.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality analytical insights and business commentary.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Analytics, or a related discipline is desirable.
- Strong experience translating complex business challenges into clear analytical objectives and actionable recommendations.
- Proven stakeholder engagement, presentation, and influencing skills across diverse audiences.
- Experience supporting cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments.
- A strategic mindset with strong commercial understanding and operational awareness.
- Experience working within contact centre environments will be highly regarded.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in:
- SQL
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Experience with data visualisation and analytical platforms such as Tableau and Operative Intelligence is desirable.
- Strong data analysis, reporting, and business performance management capability.
