Company Description The Project Advisory is a property advisory focused on helping people make better property decisions. Role Description This is a full-time, in office Interior Designer role based in Coburg, VIC.
The Interior
Designer will collaborate with project teams to develop design concepts, plan interior spaces, and prepare documentation from initial brief through to project delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating layouts and space plans, preparing sketches and mood boards, and coordinating with architects, consultants, and contractors. The role involves producing and reviewing construction drawings and specifications, attending site visits and client meetings, and ensuring that design intent is maintained during construction.
The Interior
Designer will also support project administration tasks, contribute to design standards, and help maintain a consistent quality of work across projects.
Qualifications
- Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to translate client briefs into functional, well-resolved layouts.
- Understanding of Architecture principles and how interior design integrates with building design and services.
- Ability to produce and interpret Construction Drawings and technical documentation for use by contractors and consultants.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar), and basic proficiency in MS Office.
- Formal qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and project stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in an on-site studio environment.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, accessibility requirements, and best practices in sustainable and responsible design is advantageous.
