I'm Colin Evans, Director of The Asset Finance Shop. I'm writing this myself because I'm the person who will be training you.

Here is what I'm looking for. One junior broker who I take on personally, sit next to, and teach the job properly. Not a graduate program. Not six weeks of shadowing before you're allowed to touch anything. You will be on the phone with real customers in your first week, and I'll be right there when you do it.

What the job actually is

You're going to learn how to take a customer from a first phone call to a settled deal. That means:

- Talking to business owners about what they're buying and why
- Working out what a lender will and won't accept before we go anywhere near an application
- Putting the file together properly so credit doesn't come back asking questions
- Following it through to settlement and staying in touch afterwards
- Everything in between

What training with me looks like

You sit beside me. You listen to my calls. I listen to yours. We go through deals together, including the ones that don't work, because those teach you more.

Who I want to hear from

Someone who has done some kind of finance or sales work already. A bank, a dealership, a contact centre,



a lending support role. You know what a phone call with a stranger feels like and you're not scared of a target.

A few honest things We're fully office based. No work from home.

We automate everything we sensibly can, so you'll be working with HubSpot, AI tools and a proper tech stack rather than spreadsheets and sticky notes. If technology annoys you, this isn't the place.
