Role Description This is a part time remote role for a Junior Software Developer (Entry-Level / Associate).

The Junior Software

Developer will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining back-end web applications and internal tools that support chemical supply operations. Day-to-day tasks include writing and testing code, fixing bugs, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with senior developers to implement new features. The role also involves working with databases, integrating APIs, and documenting technical work to ensure systems are reliable and maintainable. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and help translate them into practical software solutions.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering concepts.
- Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience using at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python,



Java, C#, or JavaScript).
- Understanding of Back-End Web Development, including server-side frameworks, databases, and RESTful APIs.
- Ability to apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles to design clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedback.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic software development workflows is beneficial.
- Interest in or exposure to industrial, manufacturing, or supply chain environments is a plus.
