The role

Due to our continuing growth, Bathersby Legal is looking to employ a Legal Secretary to join its team, on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will possess:-

- a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a legal secretarial position;
- experience with drafting Court documents, letters and transcription;
- attention to detail and accuracy in data entry;
- an ability to prioritise tasks;
- a high level of typing and documentation accuracy; and
- excellent communication skills.

The key responsibilities for the role include:-
- supporting the Director and solicitors with matter management (including key date bring-ups, prioritising work and actioning tasks in a timely manner);
- opening new files, archiving completed files and general administrative tasks;
- drafting invoices, organising payment of external creditors, monitoring unpaid invoices;
- preparing correspondence, reports, briefs to Counsel and Court documents; and
- attending to lodgment and/or filing of various documents.
