Permanent part time shifts available (Mondays & Wednesdays) 10am to 4pm 22 hours/FN) About the Role The Lifestyle Assistant co-facilitates group and individual activities based on each resident’s assessed needs and preferences so that each resident may achieve their cultural, emotional, physical, social and spiritual goals during daily living activities.
This newly created position will have a focus on taking residents on outings so your ability and comfort to drive an 8-seater van is a must. About you To be successful in this role, you will be kind, resident focussed and enjoy supporting residents to participate in a whole range of different activities.
You must have: Availability to work Mondays and Wednesdays (10am to 4pm)
Current valid driver's licence with the ability and comfort to drive an 8-seater van is a must
Knowledge and experience in the provision of recreational/lifestyle activities to meet the needs of residents
Positive attitude towards older people including understanding of the needs of older people and a commitment to upholding their rights Qualifications in Leisure & Lifestyle will be highly regarded!
You will be able to: Work cooperatively as part of a team and follow instructions from appropriate supervisor
Effectively manage time and organise workload
Use an electronic documentation system and undertake documentation
