ROLE DESCRIPTION

About the Role The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of MCM’s transport and final mile delivery operations, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes, strong carrier performance, and operational excellence across all delivery activities.

Reporting to the Head of Logistics and Final Mile Logistics, this role acts as the key liaison between MCM and its transport and delivery partners, overseeing carrier performance, customer delivery outcomes, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role plays a critical part in supporting a seamless customer experience while ensuring the ongoing success and growth of MCM’s delivery network.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage relationships with transport carriers, delivery partners, and contractors.
- Monitor carrier performance against service levels and delivery KPIs.
- Investigate delivery exceptions, delays, and service issues, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Proactively resolve customer delivery enquiries and escalations.
- Prepare performance reports and provide operational insights to support decision-making.
- Review, reconcile,



and approve carrier invoices while resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintain contractor compliance records, including licences, insurances, and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate driver onboarding, inductions, and operational training.
- Ensure adherence to MCM delivery standards, customer service expectations, and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and delivery partners to drive continuous improvement and service excellence.

About You

- Experience in transport, logistics, final mile delivery, or supply chain operations.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills.
- Experience managing third-party carriers, contractors, or service providers.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Experience reviewing invoices and managing operational costs.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
