The role of Manager –

- Consulting &
- Program Delivery plays a pivotal leadership role in managing client-facing consulting engagements, developing our people, and supporting the growth of Flexiq. The role sits between the Directors and the team, supporting day-to-day leadership while remaining actively chargeable to clients. The type of work and tasks required will be varied and driven by the requirements of our clients and our business, with a focus on project and program delivery, management consulting, business improvement, governance, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Client Leadership: Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders, delivering exceptional client experiences both remotely and on-site.
- Consulting Delivery: Lead and support client engagements across project delivery, program governance, business improvement, operating model design, project controls, and transformation initiatives.
- People Leadership: Support with the management, mentoring and development of the team, providing clear direction, regular coaching and practical support.
- Project and Program Management: Plan, coordinate and oversee the delivery of client work, including scope, schedule, risks, issues, dependencies, performance reporting and stakeholder expectations.
- Governance and Controls: Establish, maintain and improve governance structures, reporting rhythms, decision-making forums, project controls and portfolio reporting approaches.
- Business Analysis and Improvement: Analyse our clients business processes,



systems and ways of working to identify improvements and implement practical solutions that create measurable value.
- Management Consulting: Facilitate workshops, prepare materials, develop business cases, summarise insights, and translate complex information into clear recommendations.
- Business Development: Support proposal development, client presentations and growth opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Directors, consultants and client teams to ensure successful delivery of projects, programs and improvement initiatives.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Support the business and our clients with a range of leadership, operational, analytical and delivery tasks as required.

- Compliance: Always promote and uphold a strong safety culture by ensuring work practices comply with relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.

- Maintain Chargeability: You are expected to manage your time and responsibilities to achieve high chargeability, contributing to the commercial strength and financial health of the business.
- Support Business Growth: Actively seek opportunities to add value, support new initiatives, strengthen client relationships and contribute to the growth and success of Flexiq.
- Exceptional Client Experience: Deliver outstanding service and practical solutions, ensuring clients receive a positive and memorable experience.
- Leadership Leverage: Provide an effective leadership layer between the Directors and the consulting team, helping Flexiq scale while maintaining quality, responsiveness and culture.

Required Skills

- Strong client-facing experience, ideally within management consulting, engineering consulting, infrastructure, utilities, energy or major projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading people,



mentoring team members, and helping others develop professionally.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and relationship management skills.
- Strong commercial mindset and ability to balance client outcomes, chargeability, quality and team development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level materials and presentations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills to drive results and drive outcomes to completion.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders through ambiguity.
- High computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Understanding of project delivery, governance, reporting, project controls, change management or business improvement frameworks.
- A collaborative, approachable and growth-oriented attitude aligned to Flexiq’s values and culture.

Qualifications &

- Experience

- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, business, management, commerce or a similar field.
- Relevant experience and certifications in management, consulting, project, program or change management will be highly regarded.
- Approximately 8+ years of relevant professional experience, including experience in client-facing or advisory roles.
- Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, government or complex asset-intensive environments will be highly regarded.
