Merchandise Specialist

Spartan is the world’s leading obstacle race and endurance brand, delivering high-energy events including Spartan Race, Tough Mudder and DEKA. We’re looking for a Merchandise Specialist to lead merchandise operations and support event procurement across our multi-brand event portfolio.

This is a hands-on role spanning retail, suppliers, inventory, logistics and event delivery, working closely with Marketing and Operations teams to ensure events are commercially successful and operationally ready.

What you’ll be doing

Merchandise Operations

- Lead planning and delivery of in office merchandise across all events
- Manage set-up and pack-down of event retail zones, including displays, signage, stock and POS systems, and customer experience
- Own inventory tracking, reconciliation and post-event reporting

Product & Supplier Management

- Own merchandise planning (inc. racer items such as medals, finisher shirts) across all Spartan brands
- Manage supplier relationships, ordering, timelines and delivery
- Negotiate pricing, lead times and production requirements
- Forecast stock and provide recommendations to optimise performance

Online Store

- Develop, maintain and grow Spartan’s online merchandise offering
- Coordinate product uploads, campaigns and promotions
- Track performance and align online and event-based sales

Procurement & Event Support

- Source and coordinate operational equipment and event consumables
- Manage purchase orders,



supplier coordination and delivery tracking
- Ensure all required materials are delivered on time for event build
- Support cost control and identify efficiencies across suppliers

What we’re looking for

- Experience in merchandise, retail operations, procurement or similar roles
- Strong forward planning capability, with the ability to proactively manage stock movement and allocation across events
- Strong supplier management and inventory coordination capability
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and timelines
- Comfortable working across both planning and on-the-ground execution
- Strong communication skills across internal teams and external suppliers
- Commercial mindset with attention to cost, quality and delivery
- Willingness to travel and work on-site at events

This is not a desk-only role.

You’ll be

- Managing suppliers and stock in the lead-up to events
- Coordinating deliveries and procurement timelines
- Then on-site setting up retail, managing inventory and supporting event operations

It’s fast-paced, hands-on, and requires someone who can move between planning and execution seamlessly.
