Role Description The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructures to support voice, data, video, and unified communication solutions. This contract role involves performing advanced troubleshooting, optimizing network performance, and ensuring network security and reliability for client environments. The position is based in Sydney, NSW in a hybrid working arrangement, with a mix of on-site work at client or company locations and some work from home.
Day-to-day activities include network design and configuration, monitoring and diagnostics, collaborating with cross-functional technical teams, preparing technical documentation, and providing guidance to junior engineers.

Engineer will also support project delivery, participate in solution architecture discussions, and contribute to continuous improvement of network standards and practices.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design for complex enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in Network Administration, including configuration, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Advanced Troubleshooting capabilities to diagnose and resolve network issues across voice, data, and video services.
- Experience with Network Security, including firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and best-practice security frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with routing and switching technologies (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs), and major vendor platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with unified communications, enterprise voice solutions, and customer experience management platforms is highly beneficial.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, JNCIP, or equivalent are preferred.
- Solid analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in hybrid teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
