Role Description: The Network Engineer role is a contract job, on-site position based in Sydney, NSW.

The Network

Engineer will design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure that supports critical IT and OT operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability. Daily tasks include configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices; monitoring network performance; and diagnosing and resolving network issues. The role also involves implementing and maintaining network security controls, supporting project delivery activities, documenting network configurations and changes,



and collaborating with internal teams and clients to align solutions with business and operational requirements.

Engineer will contribute to continuous improvement efforts, helping to enhance reliability and reduce risk across client environments.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust skills in Network Engineering and Network Design for building and optimizing secure, resilient infrastructures.
- Candidates should possess Network Administration capabilities, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of network devices and services.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex network issues in critical environments.
- Candidates should possess Network Security expertise, including firewall configuration, VPNs, access control, and best practices for protecting networks.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field are beneficial.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are advantageous.
- Experience working with enterprise or industrial/OT networks and familiarity with cybersecurity principles is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, clear communication, and the ability to work effectively in on-site, cross-functional teams are required.
