The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to initially join us on a part-time permanent basis, with the prospect to increase to full-time as your caseload develops.

This is predominantly a work-from-home and community-based position.

You will manage your own diary and appointments, completing participant consultations in their homes, in the community or via telehealth where clinically appropriate. Report writing and other administrative duties can be completed from home.

You will be trusted to independently manage your caseload, schedule your appointments and structure your working week in a way that enables you to provide high-quality services while meeting your professional responsibilities.

A laptop and work phone will be provided.

What You'll Be DoingYour work will primarily involve supporting NDIS participants with complex support needs, particularly participants living with psychosocial disability, mental health conditions, neurodiversity and other complex disabilities.

Your responsibilities may include

- Completing comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs).
- Completing high-quality Home and Living assessments and reports.
- Undertaking occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
- Completing comprehensive clinical assessments in participants' homes and community environments.
- Preparing robust, evidence-based reports that clearly articulate functional impairment, support needs, risks and recommendations.
- Gathering and critically analysing information from participants, families, Support Coordinators and other treating professionals.
- Translating complex clinical information into clear,



defensible and practical recommendations.
- Providing ongoing occupational therapy intervention where appropriate.
- Participating in stakeholder meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Managing your own caseload, appointments, follow-ups and report deadlines.
- Developing meaningful therapeutic relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- Advocating for participant outcomes through high-quality clinical evidence and recommendations.

Report Writing Is a Major Part of This PositionWe are looking for an OT who is exceptionally confident in assessment and report writing.

Our participants often have complex presentations, and their reports can significantly influence the supports they receive. We need someone who goes beyond templates and assessment scores: someone who can critically analyse evidence and clearly connect disability, functional impairment, risks, environment and recommended supports.

Your reports should be comprehensive, individualised, evidence-based, clinically defensible and of a consistently high professional standard.

Previous experience completing complex FCAs and Home and Living assessments within the NDIS environment is highly desirable and will be strongly regarded.

Who We're Looking ForYou will ideally be an experienced Occupational Therapist with substantial experience working within mental health.

We are particularly interested in hearing from OTs who have worked with people experiencing complex psychosocial disability and who genuinely enjoy working with this participant group.

You must be comfortable working independently and able to manage your own caseload without constant oversight. Management will still be available whenever you need guidance or want another perspective. Our approach is based on trust rather than micromanagement.

To be successful, you will need:

- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Significant professional experience, with strong experience in mental health and/or psychosocial disability.
- Demonstrated experience completing comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments.
- Experience completing, or strong demonstrated competency in, Home and Living assessments.
- Excellent clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
- Exceptional written communication and report-writing ability.
- A strong understanding of functional impairment and disability support needs.
- Experience working within the NDIS environment.
- Strong time-management and organisational skills.
- The ability to independently manage a caseload and diary.
- Confidence working in participants' homes and within the community.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build genuine rapport with participants and stakeholders.
- A high level of professional integrity and accountability.
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
- Relevant NDIS worker screening and employment clearances.
