We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Officer ICT Operations Change and Communications to join our Information and Technology team on a fixed-term basis through to 16 October 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how change is delivered across the organisation, ensuring our people are supported, informed and equipped as new technologies and ways of working are introduced.
Why this role matters
Technology projects are only successful when people are ready to embrace change.
As the key link between ICT project teams and Council staff, you'll lead the people side of change by contributing to the development of communication strategies, coordinating stakeholder engagement, supporting training initiatives and driving workforce readiness across a range of ICT projects.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and implementing change management and communication plans for ICT initiatives.
- Building robust relationships with stakeholders across all areas of Council.
- Delivering engaging communications that keep staff informed and involved.
- Coordinating role mapping, training needs analysis and learning solutions.
- Supporting leaders and employees through periods of organisational and technological change.
- Monitoring change impacts and helping drive successful adoption of new systems and processes.
About you
You're a people-focused professional who thrives on communication, collaboration and creating positive outcomes through change.
You'll bring
- Experience delivering organisational change and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Strong communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
- Experience coaching leaders and supporting teams through change.
- Knowledge of contemporary change management methodologies and practices.
- The ability to think creatively, solve problems and work autonomously.
- Qualifications in change management, project management, business or a related discipline.
