About the Role The Operational Performance Manager is responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of compliant, safe, and high-performing security operations across allocated sites. The role is heavily field based, requiring regular site presence to conduct compliance reviews, monitor operational performance, and support continuous improvement.
The role works closely with the Business Performance Manager, Key Account Managers, and the HSE Team to ensure contractual, legislative, and organisational requirements are met.
The Operational Performance
Manager also supports training delivery and the review and close-out of actions arising from audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
Key Accountabilities
- Site-Based Operational Oversight - Conduct regular site visits to assigned client locations,
observe frontline operations and ensure security services are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, SOPs, licensing and WHS obligations. Provide onsite guidance and take immediate corrective action where operational risks or non-compliance are identified.
- Compliance Monitoring &
- Reporting -Complete scheduled and ad-hoc compliance reviews using approved checklists, identify and document operational, safety and compliance risks, and report findings, trends and site-level issues to the Key Account Manager and Business Performance Manager. Maintain accurate records of site visits, findings and corrective actions.
- Training Support &
- Capability Uplift - Support frontline training, onboarding, refresher training and remedial coaching across operational roles. Reinforce SOPs, operational expectations and consistent training standards across sites, including Business Performance Manager-led training initiatives.
- HSE &
- Risk Management - Support the HSE Team with actions arising from risk assessments, safety inspections and incident investigations. Monitor outstanding actions, ensure timely closure and escalate overdue or high-risk matters to relevant stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement &
- Collaboration - Build effective working relationships with Key Account Managers, Site Supervisors, Business Performance Managers and the HSE Team. Act as a visible and professional representative of the organisation onsite and contribute to continuous improvement through site-based feedback and insights.
Desired Skills And Experience Qualifications &
- Experience
- Experience in security operations, risk, compliance or operational performance, with a strong understanding of operational compliance, site auditing and frontline security delivery.
- Experience conducting site inspections, compliance reviews and risk assessments.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a field-based role.
- Relevant security industry qualifications or licences, as applicable by state.
- Experience supporting WHS, risk management, incident investigations or corrective actions.
- Experience delivering or supporting training, onboarding and capability development initiatives.
