About The Team The People and Culture Directorate partners with leaders across Murdoch University to attract, develop, and support our people. The People and Culture Business Partnering team plays a key role in delivering strategic workforce advice, building leadership capability, and fostering a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

Your New Role!

As a People and Culture Business Partner at Murdoch University, you will partner directly with leaders to navigate people matters, build leadership capability, and deliver workforce solutions that make a real difference on the ground. You'll bring practical expertise across employee relations, performance, change, and workforce planning — providing timely, considered advice that leaders can act on.

This is a permanent role available full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time at 0.8 FTE (30 hours per week).

Key aspects of the role:

- Strategic Partnering – Provide trusted HR advice and support leaders on workforce planning, organisational change, and people initiatives.
- People & Culture Solutions – Navigate complex employee relations matters, build leadership capability, and drive high-performance team outcomes.
- Impact & Improvement – Lead and contribute to strategic people programs, using workforce insights to support continuous improvement and organisational effectiveness

This Continuous, Part time or Full Time at 0.8 FTE – 1 FTE attracts a remuneration of $116K – $140K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

- Proven HR Business Partnering experience with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with leaders at all levels.
- Robust employee relations expertise, including performance management, conduct, grievances, and industrial relations matters.
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and experience applying enterprise agreements and workplace policies.
- Experience leading organisational change and people initiatives, with a focus on improving capability, culture, and workforce outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills,



underpinned by a genuine commitment to inclusion, fairness, and people-centred practice.
