Cahill Transport is seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to join our QLD operations team based in Lytton.

Reporting to our Transport Manager QLD, you’ll coordinate linehaul and regional freight movements, working Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Allocating drivers, trucks and trailers across linehaul and regional freight movements.
- Coordinating freight collections, deliveries and scheduled movements.
- Monitoring operations and adjusting allocations for delays, freight volumes and changing priorities.
- Maximising fleet utilisation while meeting customer requirements.
- Liaising with drivers, customers and depot teams.
- Managing freight bookings and scheduling.
- Ensuring allocations meet weight, fatigue and load compliance requirements.

What You’ll Bring

- Previous experience as a Transport Allocator, Fleet Allocator or similar.
- Strong knowledge of linehaul, regional and general freight operations.
- Experience allocating heavy vehicles, including B-doubles.
- Understanding of GML/CML, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
- Strong geographical knowledge relevant to road transport.




- Ability to make sound decisions and reprioritise as requirements change.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience with Freight 2020 or similar transport management systems is highly regarded.
