We're looking for an ambitious Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer who wants more than a traditional contractor role and is ready for greater ownership, broader exposure and a genuine pathway toward Project Management.

You won't be one of twenty people managing a small piece of a project. You'll have visibility across the whole development, direct access to the people making the decisions and the opportunity to influence the outcome.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Project Manager and senior leadership, you'll join Camilla from its early stages and play an integral role in taking the development from pre-construction through to completion. This is a hands-on project delivery role with genuine responsibility across technical, commercial and construction functions.

You'll be involved across

- Design management and consultant coordination
- Procurement strategy and subcontractor engagement
- Trade package scoping, tendering, negotiation and letting
- Construction methodology and sequencing
- Structure, façade, services and finishes coordination
- Programming and short-term construction planning
- Contract administration and subcontractor management
- Commercial management, forecasting and cost control
- RFIs, variations, progress claims and contractual correspondence
- Coordination between design, commercial and site teams
- Quality assurance and construction delivery
- Stakeholder and consultant management
- Defects management and project close-out
- Value engineering and buildability reviews
- Supporting the Project Manager across overall project delivery

Because QNY is both developer and builder, you'll also gain exposure to the broader development process—including feasibility, product and design strategy, procurement, sales considerations and the commercial decisions that shape a project. We want someone who wants to understand the entire development, not simply their individual package or discipline.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has learned their craft in a hands-on construction environment and is now ready for greater ownership. Tier 2 or Tier 3 contractor experience is particularly valued,



where you've been accustomed to taking broader responsibility across commercial, technical and delivery functions rather than being confined to one package.

You may currently be

- A Senior Project Engineer looking for greater project ownership and direct exposure to the developer;
- A Project Engineer ready to accelerate your career on a major luxury residential development; or
- A high-performing Contract Administrator with strong commercial and technical capability who wants to transition into broader project delivery.

Your current title is less important to us than your capability, attitude and ambition. You understand how buildings actually go together.

You're equally comfortable working through a technical issue on site, coordinating consultants around a table, negotiating with subcontractors and understanding the commercial implications of a decision.

You solve problems rather than simply identifying them, and you're prepared to take ownership of an issue through to resolution.

You don't need a large corporate structure around you to get things done.

Your Experience

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Approximately 4–8 years' experience within the Australian construction industry
- Experience working on major or complex construction projects, preferably $40M+
- Tier 2 or Tier 3 contractor experience preferred
- High-rise residential, luxury residential, mixed-use or major commercial experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar
- Strong understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
- Experience coordinating structure, façade, services and high-quality finishes
- Experience scoping, tendering, negotiating and letting subcontract packages
- Strong commercial and contract administration capability
- Experience coordinating consultants, subcontractors and trade packages
- Strong programming, planning and organisational skills
- Sound understanding of Australian construction contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- An appreciation for detailing, finishes and the quality expected in premium residential construction
- A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused approach
- Full Australian working rights

Highly Regarded

Experience in any of the following will be viewed favourably:
- Developer-builder environments
- Luxury residential or high-end apartment developments
- High-rise construction




- Experience across both commercial and project delivery functions

- Procore, ProcurePro, HammerTech / One Breadcrumb, PayApps and Microsoft Project
