Nexmin is a Perth based, multi-discipline engineering consultancy specialising in the delivery of industry-leading metallurgical and design solutions for mineral processing facilities.
Nexmin offer comprehensive engineering services across all major disciplines, from early-stage feasibility studies, including DFS level through to detailed design and full EPCM project delivery.

The Role
Project Manager
Reporting to the Director of Engineering you will be responsible for leading projects from concept through to delivery, working closely with clients, engineers, designers, suppliers and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Brief Duties
- Leading and managing engineering and project delivery activities from concept through to completion
- Taking ownership of project scope, schedule, cost, quality and client outcomes
- Providing technical and project leadership to multidisciplinary teams
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact
- Coordinating engineers, designers, suppliers and contractors
- Identifying and managing project risks, issues and opportunities
- Reviewing technical solutions and ensuring practical, fit-for-purpose outcomes
- Supporting project planning, estimating, proposals and business development
- Mentoring and developing engineers and other team members
- Working collaboratively with the broader technical leadership team
- Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of Nexmin's project delivery capability
Criteria
- Engineering degree or relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Electrical or a related engineering discipline
- Experience delivering mineral processing projects
- Demonstrated experience in a Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager, Lead Engineer or similar senior project delivery role
- Experience managing projects through multiple phases, from concept, feasibility and detailed design through to procurement, construction, commissioning and handover
- A strong understanding of mineral processing plant design, equipment and project delivery
- Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams, including mechanical, process, structural, electrical and control disciplines
- Proven experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, resources, risks and commercial outcomes
- Experience working directly with mining companies, operators, EPC/EPCM contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders
- Strong understanding of project controls, contract management and commercial project delivery
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineers and project teams
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- A proven ability to identify opportunities and contribute to business development, proposals, tenders and project pursuits
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with a strong commitment to safety, quality and project outcomes
