We're looking for experienced economists with a public policy background to help shape how AI understands and reasons about real-world economic issues. Your expertise will directly influence the quality of AI-generated policy analysis — making these systems more rigorous, accurate, and useful for the world.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your own schedule and work at your own pace.
- Review and evaluate AI-generated responses to public policy and applied economics questions
- Assess the quality of economic reasoning across topics like regulation, welfare programs, fiscal policy, and market design
- Identify errors in logic, gaps in analysis, or misleading conclusions in AI outputs
- Provide structured, detailed written feedback to improve clarity, rigor, and real-world accuracy
- Validate AI-generated policy scenarios and recommendations against sound economic principles
- Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience working or teaching in public economics, applied economics, or economic policy
- Strong command of policy analysis frameworks and economic tradeoffs
- Able to critically evaluate written economic arguments and identify weaknesses
- Comfortable providing detailed, constructive written feedback
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
Nice to Have
- Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a related field
- Qualified background in government, think tanks, or policy research organizations
- Familiarity with AI systems or content evaluation workflows
