Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Release Engineer to manage and improve the software release lifecycle, ensuring reliable, efficient, and repeatable delivery of applications and services. The role involves coordinating release activities, managing deployment processes, maintaining release environments, and collaborating with development, QA, DevOps, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating software releases, managing build and deployment pipelines, automating release processes, maintaining release schedules and documentation, and monitoring deployments to ensure successful delivery. The role also involves troubleshooting release and deployment issues, coordinating rollback and recovery procedures, improving CI/CD workflows, managing environment configurations, and implementing best practices for release quality, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, release management,



and deployment processes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar technologies.
- Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems, scripting, and automation using tools such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, or configuration management is an advantage.
- Understanding of deployment strategies, environment management, rollback procedures, and release governance.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with the ability to work across technical teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to release quality, stability, and reliability.
- Ability to manage multiple releases, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
