- OTE circa $150K with enough work available to build billings quickly
- Learn alongside 3 Development specialists support from 2 Assistants
- Start with smaller developments, building into larger & more complex work
As a Residential Development & Commercial Valuer, join a Brisbane team where the development market has found a pretty good sweet spot: there’s plenty happening, without everyone running around with their hair on fire.
In fact, the problem here is capacity. They’re currently turning work away.
For a CPV with around 3–5 years’ experience, that creates a positive platform to build your development valuation capability properly. You can start with smaller projects such as townhouse developments, shadow three experienced specialists on larger jobs, and gradually build towards managing more complex assignments and engaging clients directly.
The Role
Development valuation will sit at the heart of the position, with supplementary Commercial, Industrial and Going Concern work giving you some variety around it.
The emphasis is on quality reporting rather than smashing through volume.
You’ll
- Undertake Residential Development valuations ranging from smaller townhouse projects through to larger development assignments.
- Shadow 3 experienced specialists on more complex projects while building your capability.
- Gradually take greater ownership of client relationships and direct engagement.
- Work across supplementary Commercial, Industrial and Going Concern valuations.
- Gain exposure to a growing non-mortgage advisory offering.
- Use EstateMaster and Forbury for development and commercial valuation work.
- Have access to established templates, job-tracking systems and transaction data to make delivery more efficient.
The Team
You’ll join a team of 5 Valuers supported by 2 Assistants, so you’re not spending half your week doing work that could sensibly sit elsewhere.
There’s plenty of work available, but the focus remains on producing good valuations rather than creating a volume factory. For the right experienced Valuer, there’s enough existing demand to build towards $30,000 in monthly billings relatively quickly.
Brisbane is the preferred location, although Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast can also be considered.
Experience
- Ideally 3–5 years’ valuation experience.
- CPV qualified.
- Residential Development experience is ideal.
- Alternatively, a Specialist Valuer with strong DCF knowledge could transition well.
- Comfortable producing detailed, high-quality valuation reports.
- Interested in developing broader client and advisory capability.
OTE circa $150,000, with a base salary around $80,000–$110,000 bonuses, depending on experience.
