About Discovery Early Learning Centres:

About the role:
We are seeking Trainee Certificate III Educators to join our professional team on a permanent contract of 24 hours per week. You will undertake a fully funded traineeship whilst completing a nationally accredited Certificate III in Education and Care. You will gain paid industry on-the-job experience in a qualified environment, and work in a highly supportive environment with training, mentoring and guidance provided as part of a larger trainee cohort. These traineeships can lead to career progression and further training opportunities within Discovery Early Learning Centres, such as progressing towards a diploma and building a career pathway to senior leadership roles.
We welcome applicants of all ages, whether you’re starting your first career, looking for a career change or returning to the workforce. School-based traineeship may be considered. This pathway enables students to gain workplace experience one day per week while completing Years 11 and 12 part-time.
Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of daily care routines
- Learn to observe children and identify individual needs, interests, and developmental progress
- Work collaboratively with other educators to learn how to coordinate activities
- Commit to completing all study requirements per your study plan
You must have:
- Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration – or willingness to obtain
- Regular availability and flexibility to work a range of shifts during our opening hours
