About the role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Trainee to join our sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is keen to develop their sales skills, build strong customer relationships and gain practical experience across sales, manufacturing, engineering, parts and service.

Working closely with the Sales Manager and wider team, you will receive training, coaching and hands-on experience while supporting day-to-day sales activities, customer engagement, market research, sales administration and product knowledge.

Key responsibilities

- Support the Sales Manager and sales team with day-to-day sales activities, customer communication and sales administration.

- Learn and apply sales techniques through training, coaching and practical experience.

- Work with sales team to identify potential customers, conduct market research and generate leads.

- Support client meetings, sales calls, presentations and proposals.

- Build positive relationships with customers, prospects and internal teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Administration and Management.

- Receive hands-on experience within manufacturing, engineering, parts and service teams.





- Learn company products and services and communicate their value clearly to customers.

- Prepare and distribute sales materials and update customer records, orders and sales data as required.

- Respond to customer enquiries and provide a high standard of customer service.

- Gather customer feedback and share relevant insights with the sales team and management.

About you

- Completion of Year 12 VCE or equivalent.

- Strong interest in developing a career in sales.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

- Eagerness to learn, adapt and apply feedback in a target-driven environment.

- Valuable organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

- Problem-solving skills and a professional approach to customer questions or concerns.

- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with sales, marketing and management colleagues.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM systems is an advantage.

- Results-focused attitude and willingness to work towards agreed sales goals.
