Program Manager - Cyber Security
Contract: (6-12 months)
Location: Sydney
Rate: $1400-$1600
Working Arrangement: Hybird

We are looking for an experienced Contract Program Manager - Cyber Security to lead the delivery of a portfolio of strategic cyber security initiatives. This is an opportunity to work across technology, risk, security and business teams to deliver complex programs that strengthen the organizations cyber resilience and security posture.

About the Role

As the Cyber Security Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning, governing and delivering multiple cyber security projects and initiatives from inception through to completion.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, Cyber Security leadership, technology teams, risk and compliance functions, and external vendors to ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of cyber security programs and projects.
- Develop and maintain program plans, roadmaps, milestones, budgets and delivery schedules.
- Establish solid program governance, reporting and risk management frameworks.
- Manage dependencies, risks, issues and change across multiple workstreams.
- Provide clear and concise reporting to senior leadership and governance committees.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Cyber Security, Technology, Risk, Compliance and business functions.
- Manage third-party vendors, consultants and delivery partners where required.
- Ensure security initiatives align with organisational strategy, risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Drive delivery of cyber security capabilities, controls and remediation initiatives.




- Identify delivery risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate steering committees, working groups and program governance forums.
- Ensure appropriate documentation, assurance and handover activities are completed.
- Support continuous improvement of cyber security program delivery practices.

About You

You will be an accomplished Program Manager with demonstrated experience delivering complex cyber security or technology programs in large and/or highly regulated environments.

You will bring:

- Significant experience managing complex technology or cyber security programs.
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, risks and controls.
- Proven experience working with senior executives and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong program governance, financial management and reporting capabilities.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and delivery teams.
- Excellent risk, issue, dependency and change management skills.
- Strong vendor and third-party management experience.
- Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- A pragmatic, outcomes-focused approach with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.

- Regulatory or compliance-driven security programs
- Security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, Essential Eight or similar
