About the Firm

Established almost four years ago, my client has experienced consistent year-on-year growth and has built a strong reputation for providing quality accounting and business advisory services to an impressive portfolio of clients.

Led by a highly approachable Director with a strong background in mid-tier accounting firms, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth. They are now looking for a Junior or Intermediate Accountant to join the team and develop their career within a growing and supportive practice.

This is a great opportunity for an accountant looking to broaden their public practice experience, work closely with experienced professionals and gain exposure to a diverse client base.

About the Role

Working closely with the Director and wider team, you will assist with the preparation and management of a varied portfolio of clients across industries including education, manufacturing, property development, construction, professional services and trades.

Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparation of financial accounts and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and other entities

- Assisting with BAS and other compliance requirements

- Supporting the preparation of workpapers and financial statements

- Assisting with client queries and day-to-day client communication





- Working with the offshore team and assisting with the review of completed work

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records

- Assisting with general accounting and compliance requirements

- Developing your understanding of Australian tax and accounting legislation

- Supporting the Director and senior team members with ad hoc client and practice requirements

As you develop within the role, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility, manage your own client relationships and become more involved in advisory work.

Please note: This is an office-based role in Brisbane CBD for the first six months. Following this period, hybrid working arrangements will be available.

About You

We are open to considering candidates at Junior through to Intermediate Accountant level, depending on experience.

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

- Brisbane-based residency and the ability to work from the Brisbane CBD office

- Approximately 1–4 years' Australian public practice accounting experience

- Experience preparing tax returns and financial statements

- A basic to strong understanding of Australian tax and accounting principles, depending on your level

- Experience with Xero is preferred but not essential

- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

- Valuable written and verbal communication skills

- A willingness to learn and develop your technical skills

- A proactive and positive attitude





- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
