Working within the finance team, you will support the organisation's day-to-day accounts receivable function and help ensure transactions, customer accounts and reconciliations are processed accurately and on time.

Description
- Process and allocate incoming payments
- Raise invoices and maintain customer accounts
- Complete accounts receivable reconciliations
- Follow up outstanding accounts and assist with debt recovery
- Respond to internal and external account enquiries
- Process adjustments, credit notes and account amendments
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end AR activities
- Provide general support across the wider finance team as required
Profile
A successful Accounts Receivable Officer should have:
- Previous accounts receivable experience in a busy finance environment
- Strong reconciliation and payment allocation skills
- Confident dealing with customer account enquiries and outstanding debts
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Comfortable managing competing priorities and working to deadlines
- Local government or broader public sector experience highly regarded
- Available to commence at short notice
