We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer for an immediate start to join our dynamic team in Rutherford NSW.
The Position: Mechanical Design Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager
Qualifications: Must have Minimum Diploma of Mechanical Engineering
Experience/Knowledge
Industry experience in Underground Longwall Coal Mining is highly regarded
- Conversant with Autodesk Inventor design software
- Bill of Material population
- Detail drawings
- Component identification, selection and source
- Data Sheet completion
- Application of International, National and Company Standards
- Change Management control
- General Arrangement and Assembly drawings
- Produce assembly instructions
- Maintenance drawings and diagrams
- Spare part identification
- Design to meet Production Scheduling requirements
Essential Skills
- Calculations for load/stress/fatigue
- Design Analysis to component level
- Specification Compliance Documentation
- Produce As-Built documents for customer approval
- Have a high attention to detail and well developed problem solving skills
- Ability to use calibrated measuring equipment to check incoming hardware against drawings
