ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a key role in upholding the Quality and Food Safety Management Systems by performing regular quality checks, verifications and compliance activities across the production process. This position ensures that all inputs, in-process materials and finished products meet defined specifications and food safety standards. The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives through the proactive identification of non-conformances,



coordination of calibrations and support in the development of quality-related policies and procedures. This is a varied and hands-on role that includes, but is not limited to:

- Performing routine quality checks on raw materials and finished products to verify compliance with specifications.

- Coordinating and monitoring quarantine processes for incoming and outgoing goods.

- Conducting internal equipment calibrations and coordinating external calibration schedules in collaboration with the Operations Team.

- Documenting and verifying shelf life and stability of products.

- Collecting and preparing farm-based samples (e.g., swabs, product, air) for external laboratory analysis.

- Monitoring temperature control in the processing room and cold storage areas to ensure adherence to set parameters.

- Raising and documenting non-conformances and supporting root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quality Control, Compliance Monitoring, or Document Control within food manufacturing or other highly regulated environments.

- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards including FSANZ, HACCP, SQF, and HARPS.

- Demonstrated ability to carry out product sampling, quality inspections and verification tasks.

- Proficiency in documenting quality-related activities including non-conformances and corrective actions.

- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

- Strong organisational and administrative capabilities with a keen eye for detail.

- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental/Public Health, Compliance or a related discipline (highly regarded).

- Experience working in a food processing or manufacturing setting.

- Practical experience supporting internal or external audits and compliance monitoring.

- HACCP certification (preferred but not essential).
