Taurus is a privately owned and operated specialist mining supplier with various clients around Australia.
On behalf of our client we are looking for an experienced 'hands on' Construction/Civil Supervisor for an ongoing role with our Mining Client. This role will lead a team of approx four carpenters/concreters, both on the surface and underground in construction works at a large Gold Mining Operations in WA.
These will be permanent position with our client after a short labour hire period.
Point of hire is Perth.
To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following;
ESSENTIAL
- Valid Manual Australian Driver's Licence
- Experience in formwork, steel fixing, and concrete finishing in a mining setting.
- Construction Supervisory experience is essential - in a mining or mining construction environment is preferred.
- Ability to read drawings, plan works and liaise with clients.
- Certificate in Concreting or Carpentry highly desirable.
- Due to working on gold mines you must be able to provide a CLEAN National Police Clearance (within 6 months of commencement).
- Working Safely at Heights.
- White Card
- Unrestricted Working rights in Australia.
- A commitment to your own safety and those who work with you.
- Successful candidates will also be required to pass a pre-employment medical drug & alcohol test (at our expense) and regular onsite D&A; testing.
