Casual Disability Support Worker covering Pakenham, Warragul, Moe and Morwell. The role involves assisting with a multitude of different clientele. Shift times vary and are based on the needs of participants.
Key responsibilities
- Assist people with physical disabilities and/or psychosocial disabilities
- Support with manual handling where applicable
- Work in participants' homes
- Take participants to appointments
- Access the community with participants
About you
- Certificate III in Individual Support (minimum)
- Certificate IV in Disability (Ideal)
- NDIS screening check (preferred)
- Police check (up to date)
- Updated First Aid/CPR
- PEG / Stoma training (bonus)
- Previous experience working with young children
- Manual Handling exposure/training
- NDIS Module one completed (essential)
- Working With Children Check (preferred)
- Positive Behaviour Support (bonus)
- A licence and car is essential for this role
- Outstanding communication skills with English as your first language
- Compassionate, self motivated, energetic
- Able to work open hours and offer back up if a shift becomes available
