Looking for a sales role with a bit more personality than the usual office grind?
We’re looking for a confident, friendly Sales Consultant to join our team at Mackay Harbour, selling and hiring shipping containers to customers across a wide range of industries.
This is an office-based role, perfect for someone who loves talking to people, enjoys the buzz of making a sale and knows the value of good follow-up.
What you’ll be doing
No two enquiries are quite the same. One minute you might be helping someone organise a container for storage, the next you could be quoting a business on multiple units.
Your day will include:
- Selling and hiring new and used shipping containers
- Managing inbound phone and online enquiries
- Preparing quotes and following up opportunities
- Helping customers find the right solution for what they need
- Building strong relationships with current and existing customers
- Coordinating with our transport, depot and operations teams
- Keeping CRM records and follow-ups up to date
- Working towards individual and team sales targets
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to know everything about shipping containers on day one — we can teach you that.
What we do want is someone who:
- Has strong previous sales experience
- Is confident on the phone and enjoys talking to customers
- Has a natural ability to build rapport
- Loves following up and closing a deal
- Is organised, reliable and comfortable juggling multiple enquiries
- Has good computer skills
- Brings a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
Experience in shipping containers, hire, transport, logistics, construction or industrial sales would be a bonus, but it’s certainly not essential.
