About the role

As our National Warehouse Manager, you will lead the end-to-end warehousing and distribution of high-value medical imaging systems and critical after-sales service parts imported principally from our Japanese parent company. You will manage our Head Office warehouse, third-party warehouse partners and branch inventory holdings across Australia and Current Zealand.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will guide three warehouse team members while remaining close to receiving, inventory investigations, priority spare-part dispatches, freight and compliance. Your decisions will influence customer uptime, installation schedules, revenue, working capital and our reputation for dependable service.

To support operational requirements, the role operates on a roster with staggered start and finish times from 8.00am to 6.00pm and includes rostering and participation in an after-hours call-back to support urgent spare parts requests relating to critical customer equipment.

Key responsibilities

- Lead receiving, inspection, receipting, put-away, storage, picking, packing and dispatch for finished equipment and service spare parts.

- Coordinate containers, local deliveries, transfer orders, project equipment, demonstration assets, trade-ins and branch inventory movements.

- Prioritise system-down and clinically critical spare parts, committed installations and time-sensitive customer deliveries using clear service levels and early escalation.

- Book and track domestic and international freight, including next-flight and emergency requests, and keep stakeholders informed with accurate ETAs.

- Participate in the after-hours call-back roster to support urgent spare-parts requirements, and coordinate cannibalisation so finished goods inventory is restored promptly.

- Keep physical inventory and Microsoft Dynamics 365 aligned through timely,



accurate transactions and disciplined exception management.

- Use data to improve receipt-to-put-away time, dispatch accuracy, space utilisation, productivity and warehouse costs.

- Maintain accurate serial numbers, stock locations, high-value / secure zones, quarantine, returns and demonstration inventory. Control consignment stock, non-saleable inventory, obsolete-stock consolidation and product return / repair status.

- Lead cycle counts and stocktakes, investigate variances to root cause and ensure all adjustments, write-offs and destruction activity are authorised and evidenced.

- Manage spare-parts purchasing activities, including ordering, part-number creation and payment processing; coordinate insurance claims and provide regular status reporting

- Set daily priorities, allocate work and create backup coverage across a small, experienced warehouse team.

- Partner with Supply Chain, Service, Projects, Sales, Customer Service and Finance to manage competing requirements and customer commitments.

- Agree measurable internal SLAs, communicate risks before deadlines are missed and provide practical recovery plans.

- Coach and cross-train team members, maintain competency and licence records, recognise strong performance and address gaps promptly. Set clear goals and provide ongoing development.

- Lead everyday WHS practices across forklifts, pedestrian interaction, manual handling, loading, unloading, equipment checks and incident management.

- Manage 3PLs, freight partners, couriers and specialist providers for safety, service, cost and compliance performance.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

- 5-8 years' warehousing and distribution experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or comparable management role, with demonstrated inventory, stock-control and purchasing experience.

- Hands-on experience controlling physical and ERP transactions from receipt through put-away, picking, dispatch, transfer, return and adjustment.

- Demonstrated improvement in inventory accuracy, turnaround times, warehouse productivity, service performance, risk controls or freight / storage costs.

- Experience with high-value, fragile, technical or serialised products; medical devices, healthcare, capital equipment or field-service spare parts will be highly regarded.

- Valid full driver's licence and valid high-reach and counterbalance forklift licence.

- Ability to perform manual-handling tasks and succeed in a fast-paced environment, supported by a positive, reliable and customer-focused attitude and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

- Availability to support planned after-hours requirements and visit branch or third-party warehouse locations when required.





- A relevant logistics / supply chain qualification, First Aid / CPR and White Card are desirable.

- Strong people leadership, coaching, cross-training and performance-management capability within a small operational team.

- Clear, concise stakeholder communication with the confidence to set expectations, escalate early and influence cross-functional decisions.

- Exceptional operational planning and prioritisation skills across competing receipts, dispatches, service emergencies and project deadlines.

- Sound knowledge of end-to-end warehouse and distribution processes for large equipment and high-volume service parts.

- Strong inventory, serial-number, location, space, cycle-count, stocktake and reverse-logistics knowledge.
