Full Training | Trade Qualification | Competitive Pay
Brisbane Abrasive Blasting is looking for a reliable, motivated and capable person to join our team and train as an Apprentice Industrial Spray Painter.
We provide industrial surface preparation and protective coating services to clients across the mining, manufacturing, defence, oil & gas, construction and transport sectors.
No previous spray-painting experience is required. We will provide all the practical training you need while supporting you to complete a Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application.
What you'll be working on:
Our work is varied and includes the preparation and coating of industrial equipment, fabricated components and structures including
- Truck chassis
- Communication towers
- Structural steel
- Pipes and spools
- Defence vehicles
- Other fabricated and steel components
You'll have the opportunity to work on projects for a diverse range of industries and learn the surface preparation and coating techniques required for different applications and specifications
As part of the role, you will complete a Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application.
The qualification involves both practical competency and maintaining the required training records and paperwork.
A third-party training/accreditation provider will review your progress quarterly, including the work you have completed and the competencies you are developing.
We will support you throughout the process, but you will be expected to take responsibility for keeping your paperwork up to date and progressing towards your qualification.
This will require a great deal of self-discipline and only those willing to undertake this with a serious and mature attitude should apply.

Hours are 6:30am-3:00pm Monday through Thursday and 6:30am-12:30pm on Fridays
