The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the General Manager Manufacturing, this is a key leadership position responsible for driving engineering excellence across a large-scale manufacturing operation.

Leading a skilled engineering and maintenance team, you will be responsible for plant reliability, preventative maintenance strategies, capital project delivery, asset lifecycle management and continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides the opportunity to influence operational performance, embed best practice engineering standards and play a pivotal role in supporting the future growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and implement the site's engineering strategy with a strong focus on quality, cost, delivery and operational performance.




- Drive a preventative maintenance and continuous improvement culture to maximise equipment reliability and availability.
- Lead and develop the engineering and maintenance team, providing coaching, technical guidance and succession planning.
- Monitor plant and equipment performance, identifying opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Reduce downtime and improve maintenance outcomes through effective planning and asset management practices.
- Continue the implementation and optimisation of SAP maintenance systems and reporting.
- Develop and manage critical spare parts strategies to support operational requirements.
- Deliver capital investment projects from concept through to commissioning.
- Manage engineering budgets, maintenance expenditure and financial reporting.
- Partner closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities and support operational objectives.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, contractor management and high-risk work requirements.

About You

You are a degree-qualified engineering professional with a proven track record leading engineering and maintenance functions within a large-scale manufacturing workplace.

You bring strong technical expertise, commercial acumen and a passion for continuous improvement. Equally comfortable in the boardroom and on the factory floor, you are a collaborative leader who can engage stakeholders, build capability within teams and deliver sustainable operational improvements.

Your experience includes leading preventative maintenance programs,



capital project delivery, asset management and the implementation of maintenance systems that improve plant reliability and business performance.

You Will Demonstrate

- Degree qualifications in Engineering.
- Minimum five years' experience in an engineering maintenance leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing technical teams.
- Experience implementing preventative and planned maintenance programs.
- Strong asset reliability and maintenance management expertise.
- Hands-on experience with SAP or similar CMMS/ERP systems.
- Demonstrated project management and capital delivery experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Budget management and financial reporting capability.
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
- A proactive, results-driven approach with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
