We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and motivated Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Loxton, South Australia.

About the Role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred personal care and daily living support based on each participant's individual needs, preferences and support plan.
You will support participants in their homes and, where required, within the community, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, comfort and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respectful, person-centred personal care to NDIS participants.
- Assist participants with personal hygiene, showering, bathing, dressing and grooming.
- Support participants with toileting and continence care where required.
- Assist with mobility, transfers and positioning in accordance with individual support plans and safe work practices.
- Support participants with meal preparation and eating where required.
- Assist with daily living activities and household tasks.
- Support participants to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable living environment.
- Assist participants with their daily routines while promoting independence and choice.
- Provide support with community access and appointments where required.
- Support participants to achieve their individual goals.
- Follow individual support plans, behaviour support plans and organisational procedures.
- Complete accurate progress notes, incident reports and other required documentation.
- Administer medication where appropriately trained and authorised.
- Report changes in participant wellbeing, incidents or concerns appropriately.
- Maintain professional boundaries and respect each participant's privacy, dignity, choices and rights.
- Communicate effectively with participants, families, support coordinators and the Value Care team.
- Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive environment at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who is caring, patient, dependable and genuinely passionate about providing quality personal care.
You will:

- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be comfortable providing personal care and supporting daily routines.
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Respect participant choice, privacy, dignity and independence.
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Be flexible and willing to work across a range of shifts, including weekends where required.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Aged Care or a relevant qualification.
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in personal care, disability, aged care or a related support role.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
- Current Police Check or willingness to obtain.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Australian Driver Licence.
- Own reliable and insured vehicle, where required.
- Ability to provide satisfactory employment references.
- Full working rights in Australia.
