About the role
Reporting to the Operations and Venue Manager, you'll take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the restaurant — from service standards to guest experience and team development. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume beachside venue and genuinely loves hospitality.
Key responsibilities
Lead and motivate front-of-house staff to deliver consistently excellent service
Oversee daily floor operations across lunch, and dinner service
Train and mentor team members on service standards, menu knowledge, and wine/beverage offerings
Manage bookings, guest relations, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure seamless communication between FOH and BOH
Support budgeting, rostering costs, and driving revenue targets
Ensure full compliance with RSA, food safety, and workplace health & safety requirements
Help shape and maintain the culture and standards of the newly relaunched venue
About you
Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or senior Assistant Manager in a high-volume, quality-focused venue
A genuine passion for Up-to-date Australian cuisine and a robust understanding of contemporary dining trends
Confident,
calm leadership style with the ability to motivate a team during busy service
Excellent guest-facing communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport
Strong organisational skills — rostering, stock control, and cost management experience essential
Current RSA and Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
Experience opening or relaunching a venue highly regarded but not essential
