We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Legal Secretary to join our growing personal injury law firm in Sydney CBD. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a professional, supportive environment and wants to be part of a close-knit legal team. You will provide high-quality administrative and legal support to solicitors managing personal injury matters from initial enquiry through to resolution.
Key responsibilities
Providing day-to-day administrative and secretarial support to solicitors
Managing client correspondence, emails and telephone enquiries
Opening and maintaining client files and ensuring records are kept up to date
Preparing correspondence, court documents and other legal documentation
Managing diaries, appointments, conferences and meetings
Liaising with clients, barristers, medical providers, insurers and other external parties
Assisting with court and tribunal filing requirements
Preparing briefs and supporting solicitors with matter preparation
Monitoring important dates and deadlines
Conducting general administrative tasks to ensure matters progress efficiently
About you
Experienced in a legal secretary or legal assistant role
Ideally experienced in personal injury law, litigation or insurance
Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
Professional, reliable and proactive
A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
Detail-oriented and comfortable working with confidential information
Confident dealing with clients and external stakeholders
Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
Compassionate and empathetic when dealing with clients
